  • Meetings, seminars, Boy Scout or Girl Scout events
  • Birthday, anniversary, and graduation parties
  • Pickleball tournaments, Bar Mitzvahs, and family reunions
  • Classes, swimming lessons sponsored by third parties (HOAs)

WHO IS COVERED?

  • The Association
  • The person(s) and/or the Entity renting the facility
  • The independent community association manager

WHAT IS COVERED?

  • Bodily Injury, Property Damage, and Personal Injury Offenses
  • Liquor Liability
  • Hired and Non-Owned Autos
  • Medical Pay

General Guidelines

  • Who is Eligible
    • This program is exclusively limited to special events being held at or rented at Not-for-Profit Community Associations/Common Interest Developments such as Condominiums, Single Family HOAs Cooperative Housing Corporations.
  • Who is Covered (each of the following will receive a certificate of insurance indicating they are an additional) insured.
    • The individual or entity who is the Named Applicant Insured
    • The Not-for-Profit Condo, HOA, or Coop where the event is being held (employed managers and other employees are included)The independent management company, including its employed managers aka CAMs (Community Association Managers)
  • What is covered
    • Bodily Injury, Property damage, and Personal Injury offenses
    • Medical Pay
    • Liquor Liability if liquor is not being sold. If being sold, a Liquor Liability Endorsement must be purchased at an additional cost.
    • Hired and Non-Owned Autos.
  • Application and Purchase
    • The Special Event Liability policy can only be purchased online at insoffer.com/Community Association
    • The policy can only be purchased by using a credit card online. The charge will appear in your statement as Francis L. Dean & Associates.
    • All purchases are fully earned upon purchase and are not refundable if the policy is cancelled.

    • If certificates of insurance are not received within 15 minutes of hitting “Submit Payment,” please check your spam folder before contacting us.

  • Pickleball tournaments, Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, Christenings and family reunions

Events Not Eligible*

  • Has your past liability coverage been canceled in any way in the last three years? Not Eligible*
  • Is your current insurer non-renewing coverage? Not Eligible*
  • Have any liability claims been paid by your insurer during the last 3 years? Not Eligible*
  • Does the event involve organized athletic activities and/or competitions? Not Eligible*
  • Are overnight accommodation or camping facilities part of the event? Not Eligible*
  • Are security personnel present? Not Eligible* unless security personnel are police.
  • Alcohol liability is covered at the event at no additional cost if not sold.
  • If the insured is selling alcohol the liquor liability endorsement must be purchased.
  • Has the Insured applicant’s liability coverage been canceled in the past three years? Not Eligible*
  • Does the event involve weapons, firearms or pyrotechnic devices? Not Eligible*
  • Does the event involve amusement devices such as inflatables (including bouncy houses), carnival rides, blowup slides, water activities or a petting zoo? Not Eligible*
